Election 2020 in the USA

WASHINGTON, D.C.—tonight President Donald J. Trump performed better in the battle ground states than in 2016.  Voters were divided between the issues.  Conservatives voters main priority was the economy and funding the police. Joe Biden’s supporters zeroed in on the COVID-19 virus in the hopes that it would deliver the win. 

 President Donald Trump edged out Biden in key battleground states–Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.  Although 4 of the states did not declare the winner November 3rd because of absentee ballots.  

President Trump tweeted “We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!” 

Several United State Senator’s won key re-elections tonight—including Senators  Mitch McConnell,(R-KY) Lindsey Graham, (R-S.C.)  Susan Collins, (R-Me), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS), Tommy Tuberville,  John Cornyn,  Cynthia Lummis, Shelley Moore Capito, Ben Sasse, Bill Hagerty,  Jim Justice, Jim Inhofe, Tom Cotton, Chris Sununu, and John James, R-MI). Several House Representatives won re-elections and/or elected for the first term Jack Wilson, Mark Robinson, Bill Cassidy, Jim Risch, Mike Parson, Todd Rokita, Spencer Cox, Mike Rounds,  Dough Burgum, and Eric Holcomb.

The GOP lost U.S. Senate races in Arizona and Colorado.
