SOUTH CAROLINA, February 24, 2024 (Bee News Daily) —- President Donald J. Trump is the projected winner in the South Carolina’s 2024 Presidential Primary.
The Associated Press projected Trump the winner 4 minutes after the polls was closed across the state. Trump’s victory marked another successful early-state performance by Trump against his lone standing opponent Nikki Haley.
Haley rolled her mother into the voting polls to cast her vote early Saturday morning on Kiawah Island, hoping that she could pull an upset in her home state. The Trump’s vote is a huge blow to Haley, who never lost in her home state.
Standing behind Trump on the stage at the victory celebration, was all of the state’s elected leaders—including the governor, lieutenant governor, state treasury, both senators, five members of Congress and many other statewide elected officials.
Trump and Haley is headed to Michigan followed by visits to at least a half-dozen Super Tuesday states where Trump is leading Haley by double digits.
“Our country is being destroyed, and the only thing standing between you and its obliteration is me,” Trump said. “In many ways, we’re living in hell right now,” added Trump.
