TEXAS, October 8, 2024 (Bee News Daily) — Recently, a significant operation in San Antonio led to the arrest of 20 individuals, including four confirmed members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. This multi-agency raid, dubbed “Operation Aurora,” involved over 150 officers from various agencies, including the San Antonio Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, FBI, Homeland Security, and U.S. Border Patrol.
The operation targeted an apartment complex on the North Side of San Antonio, following reports of human trafficking, narcotics violations, and threats to apartment staff. Authorities cleared nearly 300 vacant apartments suspected of being used by gang members.

- Texas Mexican Mafia: This gang, with around 4,100 members, is known for its violent activities and connections to drug trafficking.
- Latin Kings and MS-13: These gangs also have a significant presence in Texas, contributing to the state’s gang-related violence.
