WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 16, 2021)—immediately following swearing in as the 46th President–President-elect Joe Biden to reverse several of President Donald J. Trump’s administration policies .
According to incoming chief of staff, Ron Klain, on Saturday in a memo the executive orders the Biden will issue on Jan. 20 –includes reversing President Trump’s travel ban and mask.
As Biden promised — he will sign an order returning the United States to the Paris climate agreement, the international accord to lower greenhouse gas emissions that the Obama administration played a lead role in crafting. President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the agreement.
Other orders will be directed at the U.S. Education Department, energy and transportation sector to reach the country’s Paris emissions goals. Biden will also extend the ban on evictions and foreclosures as a result of the pandemic and to reverse Trump’s travel bans on some Muslim-majority nations.
